After a great AEW show last week that saw everyone's hero, the anxious millennial cowboy, the Hangman Adam Page live up to his potential and defeat the Best Bout Machine Kenny Omega for the AEW World Title! Plus, on Dynamite, we were gifted... heel Bryan Danielson? Hell yeah, cowboy shit!
Now it's time to look back to... WWE. At this point, I feel like I should apologize? We already went over their insanely stupid decision to release 18 wrestlers after announcing a successful 3rd quarter, so let's look at the whole reason (?) for Survivor Series to exist at this point: brand supremacy! (??) This, in my opinion, would make much more sense if the brands hadn't been changed one month ago. Seriously, looking at the actual survivor series teams, Team Raw was originally slated to have all five members having been on Smackdown a month ago (thankfully Dominik Mysterio was removed in favor of Bobby Lashley). Technically both men's champions were on the same brand up until slightly more than a month ago when Big E went walkabout with his Money-in-the-Bank briefcase and emerged victorious over former champion Lashley. (Plus we already saw their match unfold in Quixo-WWE's all fantasy Quixo-WrestleMania 37 more than a year ago - check it out!) And then there was the women's champions were the opposite brand's champions a month ago and were forced to swap belts. It went swimmingly.
I miss when the brand draft happened after WrestleMania, not after SummerSlam. Narratively (and that's obviously what we care about here) WrestleMania is the final chapter. If we treat professional wrestling as a "real sport", WrestleMania is the end of the season. I'll give you that the rest of April can be a epilogue of sorts, but after WrestleMania, that's when you want the reset. If everyone did their jobs correctly, WrestleMania closed off stories while also starting a few more either there or in the rest of April. If you have Survivor Series in that case, the rosters have had 9 months to gestate and maybe have a reason to care about brand supremacy. But I digress.
So looking at the new brand rosters.... well let's say I'm not too enthused about starting a new season of Quixo-WWE so we'll be trying a year of AEW instead. If I were to try and book Quixo-WrestleMania 38 based on the new rosters.... on the Smackdown side, I'd probably go with Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre for the WWE Universal title mostly because I assume the Rock is off the table, (spoilers below: in tonight's Quixo-WWE epilogue match, that is not the case). Elsewhere on Smackdown... I don't know, something with Cesaro and Sheamus because I loved the Bar. Fuck it, face The Bar vs heel Usos for the Smackdown Tag Team titles. And how about Naomi vs Shayna Baszler for the Smackdown Women's Title? Sure. I want Baszler to murder. She hasn't been allowed to murder since Elimination Chamber 2020.
For Raw... I gotta say, heel Kevin Owens vs Big E for the WWE World title does catch my eye quite a bit, though they seem to have jumpstarted that now since I'm assuming Owens is leaving soon for AEW. Edge vs AJ Styles I'd say is a must, and let's get the Raw Tag Team titles back with the Hurt Business please and thank you. They can have all the matches with the Street Profits. Alexa Bliss and Nikki ASH/Cross are still on the same show, so fucking let the superhero exorcise the demon out of Alexa Bliss. This must not be done off screen. One last cinematic match, you cowards. (Of course, it appears that this is happening off screen thanks to the ending of Bliss's last match with... Charlotte Flair? Damnit.)
UPDATE : After writing everything, WWE went ahead and released 8 more workers including John Morrison, Tegan Nox, and the rest of Hit Row who just debuted on Smackdown. Fuck you, WWE. Hopefully we'll see you next week in Milwaukee, Johnny Mondo.
As mentioned above, I'm not going to do a full Quixo-WWE part 4, but grace you with a few of the season-finale matches that I was heading towards. Last month with Quixo's WWE Extreme Rules 2021 preview, we checked in on Quixo-Raw's men's main event for Quixo-WrestleMania 38 - WWE World Champion Kofi Kingston defending against both Big E and Xavier Woods with Big E coming out on top. I started the whole thing with Big E losing his family in the last roster draft, and ended it with that family coming back together. There was a big hug at the end and we're all friends.
But what of Quixo-Smackdown men's main event? If my Raw match was about family (lower-case) coming together, obviously my Smackdown match is about The Family (upper-case) coming apart. Obviously, it's Roman Reigns vs The Rock, cousin vs cousin.
When we left Quixo-WWE SummerSlam, Roman Reigns had just defeated a Kurt Angle-managed Brock Lesnar and the Family held all of the Smackdown gold: Roman with the WWE Universal title, new member Apollo Crews with the WWE Intercontinental title, Naomi with the Smackdown Women's title, Nia Jax and Tamina with the WWE Women's Tag Team titles, and the Usos with the Smackdown Tag Team titles... for a few minutes at least before the Usos lost their belts to Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn late in the night at SummerSlam. While Roman (and their father Rikishi) berate the Usos for losing their titles, Crews also loses his newly won WWE Intercontinental title to Cesaro on the night of the brand draft minutes before Cesaro (and now the WWE Intercontinental title) are shipped off to Raw to be replaced by Keith Lee and his WWE United States title. The Usos eat shit for a few weeks but appear to fall back in line.
At Survivor Series, Roman and WWE World Champion Kofi Kingston (having just beat former champion Bobby Lashley the week before) have a far longer match than one would expect (because Roman actually gives in his matches), but Roman yet again is victorious for Smackdown and the Family. Roman is also pleased when Raw's Hurt Business defeats Smackdown's pretender champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn who while feuding with each other have somehow also retained against the Usos in rematches, and Naomi is declared the winner against Raw Women's Champion Asuka when Nikki Cross interrupts the match to cash-in her Money-in-the-Bank briefcase, bringing that title to the FireFly Funhouse (at this point still consisting of Bray Wyatt, Jeff Hardy/Willow, and Abyss). Unfortunately, Seth Rollins who has already shown frustration with the Family could not coexist with fellow Family member Apollo Crews (sliding into a Young Boy role) on the Smackdown men's Survivor Series team and flips out - he is pinned by Raw member Cesaro (still IC champion) and then in retaliation feeds Crews to Cesaro for another Smackdown elimination. Roman is not pleased, but allows Rollins to vent his frustrations with him directly in a WWE Universal title TLC match at WWE TLC where Roman is, as usual, victorious. Rollins goes missing after the match.
The Royal Rumble is where the shit hits the fan. Roman Reigns decides he has no challengers (Drew McIntyre, Keith Lee, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Johnny Gargano all dispute this) so declares that he will do what Brock Lesnar couldn't - he will enter the Rumble as champion and win the whole damn thing. He has no equal here on Smackdown, absolutely no equal on Raw, hell even no competition from AEW - and he should know, he invited them onto his brand last summer himself. Even Triple H can enter the Rumble again if he wants, he won't stop him this time (call back to Royal Rumble 2016). Rikishi comes out of retirement to win the #30 spot to help protect Roman, and all other Family members declare for the Rumble in the name of the Head of the Table. The crap starts early as Nia Jax defeats Naomi for the Smackdown Women's title after some infighting between Roman's Dora Milaje. Roman enters the men's Rumble as #1 (as he did in 2016 and as Lesnar did in 2020) and the Usos are each #2 and #3. Things go well as for the first couple of entrants as the Usos took care of things and Roman sits and watches. Enter Drew McIntyre, who refuses to be eliminated easily. Keith Lee also shows up soon afterwards and now with the Family busy, the ring starts to fill up. Triple H makes a surprise entrant only to be quickly eliminated by Raw's AJ Styles to set up a WrestleMania match between the two (Styles def. Triple H), Raw's Edge and Damian Priest team-up against against all comers only to eliminate each other to set up another WrestleMania match (Priest def. Edge), and of course Keith Lee is accidentally eliminated by Drew McIntyre and a rogue Claymore Kick (spoilers: Keith Lee gets a big WrestleMania win over the former champion). MLW's Jacob Fatu joins the Rumble and helps out the Family, but is eliminated by Cesaro who gets this year's Diesel push. With three 'Mania matches setup, the ring starts to thin enough for the Family to breath again - until the Usos signal to each other and double-team Roman and try to eliminate him. Don Roman is very not pleased and quickly eliminates Jimmy Uso and then throws Jey Uso over into Jimmy. Roman stands alone Apollo Crews comes in at #28. Crews tries to hug Roman but Roman is too pissed to acknowledge him. #29 cues up and "Wild Thing" hits as AEW's Jon Moxley enters through the crowd, spooking Roman for the first time in the Rumble. Moxley slides in and Roman pushes Crew in front of him to be very quickly eliminated. Roman and Moxley erupt in a fury of punches and are very much evenly matched. #30 cues up and "I'm a Bad Man" hits, but Rikishi doesn't show - Roman looks concerned, but Moxley begins to smile, and nothing good comes from Jon Moxley smiling. Finally the TitanTron flicks on showing Rikishi in the stadium parking lot - under a white hummer! Moxley nearly falls down laughing as the camera pans out to show Seth Rollins sitting in the driver seat staring daggers through the camera.
"Burn it Down" hits and Rollins runs down the aisle and slides into the ring. The three Shield members stare each other down when Moxley hits a quick Paradigm Shift on Roman before shaking Rollins hand and eliminating himself from the match. Rollins is back to his old self just as Moxley wanted back at Quixo-Great American Bash, and Moxley exits the way he came - through the crowd. Roman and Rollins go at it for ten minutes before Roman does as promised: he eliminates Rollins and wins the Royal Rumble. Post-match, Paul Heyman presents Roman with a microphone and he goes on to call out the only member of his Family who didn't disappoint him directly tonight: The Rock. He wants him at WrestleMania. Dwayne needs to acknowledge him.
Elimination Chamber gets personal as Roman defends in the Chamber against former Family members Seth Rollins, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso, along with Drew McIntyre and Keith Lee. Lee eliminates McIntyre when given the opportunity while Rollins eliminates Lee. Roman pins all three of the former Family members. On the Smackdown after, Roman formally gets rid of Apollo Crews' lackey services and finally stands alone for the first time in over a year when The Rock.... finally comes back to Smackdown. The Great One comes not to acknowledge Roman, but to accept his challenge. Roman has made a mess of their Family. All the infighting, all the shit he's pulled acting as the champion of Smackdown. Roman may be the Head of Smackdown, but The Rock is the Daddy of Smackdown.
And you know what? This went a lot longer than I expected but you know how it ends: Roman Reigns pins The Rock in the main event of WrestleMania 38 night 2. But unlike Big E celebrating his WWE World title win with his brothers, with his family, Roman Reigns stands alone with his WWE Universal title. All alone. For nearly 20 months, for 600+ days, Roman Reigns has held his title, and it has officially cost him everything. It cost him what remained of the Shield. It cost him is Family. Now the Head of Nothing, Roman is alone. And he is angry.

The two challengers faced off again on the November 11th Impact on AXS that saw the new variation of Bullet Club (Chris Bey & El Phantasmo) defeat FinJuice for another shot at the titles.
Fanboy Fantasy: Bullet Club wins after the Guerillas of Destiny appear and interfere. The Bullet Club has formally declared war on its former American members, starting with Impact's Good Brothers, but not ending with them.

Impact Knockouts Title Match : Mercedes Martinez vs Mickie James ©
The Background: Mercedes Martinez won an 8-woman tournament at Impact Knockouts Knockdown to become the #1 contender, going through Brandi Lauren, Rachael Ellering, and lastly Tasha Steelz. Originally set to face Deonna Purrazzo, but Purrazzo lost her title to the NWA's Mickie James at Impact Bound for Glory 2021.
Fanboy Fantasy: Mickie James retains after failed Deonna Purrazzo interference, leading to a bigger match between the two down the road. ROH Women's Champion Rok-C appears and challenges James to a title unification match.

Impact World Title Full Metal Mayhem Match : Eddie Edwards vs Moose ©
The Background: Josh Alexander vacated his Impact X-Division title with Option C to challenge Impact World Champion Christian Cage at Impact Bound for Glory 2021, and he won! However, Moose spoiled the party with his newly-won Call-Your-Shot contract and Called-In on Alexander right there: and then he won the title. On the November 11th Impact on AXS, Eddie Edwards was named the new #1 contender after defeating Matt Cardona and W. Morrissey.
Fanboy Fantasy: Moose dominates the heart and soul of Impact. MLW's Davey Richards appears in the crowd in support of his former tag team partner Edwards, but does not interfere during the match. He makes the save after a post-match beatdown by Moose and the American Wolves reunite.
Quixotronic Bullpen Predictions:
Kyle: Moose - Unless it's Josh Alexander getting revenge, I don't see Moose dropping the title anytime soon.
WWE Survivor Series 2021
Women's Survivor Series Match : Team Raw (Bianca Belair, Carmella, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, & Zelina Vega) vs Team Smackdown (Natalya, Sasha Banks, Shayna Baszler, Shotzi Blackheart, & Toni Storm)
The Background: The men and women teams for Survivor Series were announced via Twitter on November 6, 2021. The women's Team Smackdown originally included Aliyah, however Sonya Deville removed her from the team after she pinned Natalya in a 6-woman tag team match on the November 12th Smackdown where Aliyah teamed with Naomi & Sasha Banks against Natalya, Shayna Baszler, & Shotzi Blackheart. For reasons? At press time, the originally announced Team Raw is still intact. Now they will all fight for... brand supremacy, I guess?
Fanboy Fantasy: At the time of writing this, Smackdown still had one TBA which could be filled with Naomi, Toni Storm, or even Sonya Deville (it was filled by Toni Storm). We’re going with Naomi since she actually has a storyline going on - Deville gives her the opportunity to be on Team Smackdown to prove herself. Team Raw starts out hot with Carmella and Zelina Vega working as a team as they are able to quickly eliminate Natalya of Team Smackdown. Unfortunately for them Sasha Banks hops in and immediately eliminates a celebrating Carmella while Vega is able to jump back to tag in Bianca Belair. Banks and Belair appear to be evenly matched for a minute or two when Ripley tags herself in and Shayna Baszler calls out to Banks to be tagged in. Banks tries to ignore her but Ripley agrees - she wants Baszler. Banks gives in and tags in Baszler. They lock up, the announces talk about their feud in NXT (1.0) even if it may be considered out of continuity at this point, and Baszler locks the Kirifuda Clutch for Ripley to quickly tap out. The announcers save face by pointing out there’s still multiple competitors so Ripley did what was best to avoid injury. Belair comes back in and faces Baszler for a bit and again they are evenly matched. Baszler tags in Shotzi Blackheart who unleashes on a surprised Belair. Belair is able to counter into a roll up and catches Shotzi off guard enough to sneak a pin. Shotzi attacks Belair more and multiple refs need to pause the match to get Shotzi out of the ring and check on Belair who is taken to the outside. Banks and Liv Morgan are in next and Morgan surprises Banks by holding her own enough for Banks to tag in Naomi. Morgan again goes toe to toe with Naomi and even has the crowd behind her until Vega tags herself in. Naomi makes quick work of her and pins Vega. With Belair on the outside still, Morgan is back in with Naomi. Naomi and Banks work some quick tags to eventually eliminate Morgan leaving Belair on Team Raw to rally. Belair slides back into the ring despite clear advice from outside medical staff and fights off both Banks and Naomi until Baszler decides to tag herself in. Another Kirifuda Clutch and Belair passes out giving the win to Team Smackdown. Sasha Banks and Shayna Baslzer each made two eliminations, Naomi only one, a point that Sonya Deville will point out on the next Smackdown.

Men's Survivor Series Match : Team Raw (Austin Theory, Bobby Lashley, Finn Bálor, Kevin Owens, & Seth Rollins) vs Team Smackdown (Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods, & TBA)
The Background: The men and women teams for Survivor Series were announced via Twitter on November 6, 2021. The men's Team Raw originally included Dominik Mysterio, however Bobby Lashley didn't care for this and defeated him in singles competition on the November 8th Raw, replacing him on Team Raw. Likewise, the men's Team Smackdown originally included Sami Zayn, but he and Jeff Hardy got into a spat and faced each other in singles competition on the November 12th Smackdown. Due to his loss, Sami Zayn has also been removed from Team Smackdown. Elsewhere on Twitter, King Xavier Woods has proclaimed stakes for the brand on brand survivor series matches since no one else has:
Not a bad idea: the losing team faces an elimination match for spots 1-5 in the next Royal Rumble while the winning team does the same for spots 26-30. Will King Woods' Royal decree be used for his Royal rumble? We'll see.
Fanboy Fantasy: Again Team Smackdown had a TBA at the time of our fantasy booking, so we’re throwing in Cesaro. King Woods and Austin Theory start out but after a quick lockup Theory skitters off and tags in Kevin Owens. Owens does some damage but Theory tags himself in and starts showboating, pissing both Owens and Woods off. Woods tosses Theory into Owens for a very sloppy tag and while Owens is distracted by Theory, Woods is able to eliminate Owens. Owens is able to keep himself calm, doesn’t do anything wild, everything is okay, but yeah he gives Woods a Stunner on his way out. And He Stunners Austin Theory on the outside. Finn Balor is in next with Drew McIntyre before Drew tags in Hardy based on crowd reaction, though Balor is able to eliminate Hardy. Cesaro steps up and he and Balor go for a few minutes before Lashley tags himself in and while Theory finally recovers from his Stunner. Cesaro is able lock Lashley in for a round-the-world spin and is released near Team Raw where Theory tags Lashley but then thinks better of it. The ref misses it so makes Lashley get back in, though Lashley disputes it. In the confusion, Cesaro eliminates Lashley. Lashley pulls Theory to the outside and locks the Hurt Lock on him until other refs break it up. Rollins and Balor work like a team and are able to use quick tags to eliminate Happy Corbin. Everyone swaps in for a few minutes before Theory is again finally awake and Balor and Rollins agree to tag him in and literally push him into a Claymore from McIntyre, finally eliminating Theory. Rollins plays that he will step in but decides against it and tags Balor in to face McIntyre where after a few more minutes Balor hits a Coup de Grace and shockingly eliminates McIntyre, leaving it a two on two match (and giving Roman Reigns fuel to not allow McIntyre a title match anytime soon since he got beat by a guy he already beat in his Super Saiyan form). Cesaro is able to take down Balor, and once Rollins is in the ring Woods tags in. Woods gives Rollins shit for how he’s been treating Big E and Rollins laughs it off until Woods socks him with a hard right. Rollins tries to get Woods to tag in Cesaro but Woods and Cesaro agree that its Woods time. Woods is able to eliminate Rollins giving both survivor series matches to Team Smackdown, and the men’s win to Team Up Up Down Down.

The Background: The Usos, finally reformed after Jimmy Uso healed up and came back into the Bloodline fold, defeated father/son team Rey & Dominik Mysterio at WWE Money in the Bank 2021 to win the Smackdown Tag Team titles. A month later, Matt Riddle & Randy Orton, the unlikely team of RK-Bro, defeated AJ Styles & Omos at WWE SummerSlam 2021 to win the Raw Tag Team titles. Now they will face off to see who are the better champions.
Fanboy Fantasy: While the Usos wait in the ring, Riddle and Orton come to the ring while Riddle wears a RK BRO ISH t-shirt… to intimidate the Usos? Orton doesn’t sell it, so it’s fine. Orton tries to start the match but Jey Uso wants to face Riddle because of the shirt offense, so Riddle starts instead. The two teams go for about ten minutes Orton tries for an RKO on Jimmy Uso but Jimmy flies from the top rope to kick him mid-motion to stop the move. Riddle tags in but falls to the Usos double team work and takes the pin, giving another win to Team Smackdown.

Kyle: Usos - Other than to piss of Roman (see our fantasy booking of his match below), there's no reason to have RK-Bro defeat the Usos.

Raw vs Smackdown Secondary Titles Match : Damian Priest © vs Shinsuke Nakamura ©
The Background: Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews on the August 13th Smackdown to win Smackdown's WWE Intercontinental title, though missed out on a big WWE SummerSlam payday. Damian Priest defeated Sheamus at WWE SummerSlam 2021 to win Raw's WWE United States title plus that sweet sweet SummerSlam payday. Now they will face off to see who is the better champion.
Fanboy Fantasy: Nakamura comes to the ring played down by Rick Boogs. When Priest appears and his music kicks in, Priest motions over to Boogs to play his song. Nakamura gives him the nod okay and Boogs plays Priest to the ring as well. The two competitors shake hands and lock up. They fight evenly matched until after several pin attempts by Priest, he tosses Nakamura to the outside and starts throwing him into the guard rails and stairs. Boogs gets in Priest’s face but Priest absolutely ignores him. Before Boogs can attack in retaliation and cause a DQ, Nakamura is able to jump off of Priest and land back in the ring and taunt him with a classic “c’mon!” Priest smiles, slides in, and after another minute locks a Hit The Lights for the pin and Team Raw’s first win of the night.

Raw vs Smackdown Women's Titles Match : Becky Lynch © vs Charlotte Flair ©
The Background: These two, despite all other Survivor Series build (and lack there of), accidentally have years of build. They both came up through NXT and were dubbed the Four Horsewomen (though never technically an actual stable oddly enough). They were both brought up (along with Sasha Banks but not Bayley) to the main Raw/Smackdown rosters as part of the new Women's Revolution (tm), and have usually been on opposite ends of the ring. During the build for brand supremacy at WWE Survivor Series 2018, then WWE Smackdown Women's champion Becky Lynch lucked into a broken face, truly and forever becoming The Man. However, said broken face caused her to be pulled from that year's Raw/Smackdown match while Charlotte Flair was subbed in to face WWE Raw Women's champion Ronda Rousey. Lynch, taking the slight personal, fixed her face and charged full throttle after both women for taking what was hers and it all led to the three in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 35. Lynch walked away with both belts, though was Flair took the Smackdown title from her at WWE Money in the Bank 2019 (before losing it minutes later to Money in the Bank winner Bayley). Lynch held onto the Raw title for over a year, vacating it just after WWE Money in the Bank 2020 only because she was pregnant, awarding it to that year's Money in the Bank winner Asuka. Lynch returned at WWE SummerSlam 2021 after the baby caused a heel turn and practically stole the Smackdown title from Bianca Belair. At the same event, Charlotte Flair won the Raw title from Nikki ASH (and Rhea Ripley). Everything was fine until the two champions were swapped in the brand draft and forced to exchange titles because they were now the wrong color. Now they will face off to see who is the better champion and decide who likes what color.
Fanboy Fantasy: Once both women are in the ring and the bell is dinged, we got a loooong stare-down before either makes a move. Flair makes the first move and they finally lock up. Despite all urge to go “hardcore,” these two instead go a slow Steamboat/Flair style as if they’re in it for an iron man match. We go 15 minutes before Lynch makes the first pin attempt to a roaring crowd who easily picks Lynch to be the face of the match. Flair takes the pin as a challenge, works for three minutes and tries tock in the Figure Eight but Becky worms out. It devolves into each trying to lock their submission but neither hooking it. Lynch hooks the Disarmher by hanging from the outside apron but the ref counts to 5 for her to break it. Flair counters with a Figure Eight wrapped around the turnbuckle but again the ref breaks it. Finally Lynch gets it hooked in the ring and Flair taps. Lynch scores the second win for Team Raw.

Raw vs Smackdown Men's Titles Match : Big E © vs Roman Reigns ©
The Background: Big E, then a member of the Smackdown brand, won this year's Money in the Bank briefcase at WWE Money in the Bank 2021. For some reason that only gave him a pre-show win over Baron Corbin at WWE SummerSlam 2021, so Big E correctly took his briefcase across the hall to Raw and cashed in on WWE World champion Bobby Lashley, defeating him to win the title on the September 13th Raw. He stopped back on to the blue brand on the September 17th Smackdown to defeat Roman Reigns' cousins the Usos with Finn Bálor, but then loss a 6-man tag team match with the rest of the New Day against the Usos and Reigns on the September 20th Raw. Later that night, Roman Reigns again defeated Big E in a triple threat match with Bobby Lashley, though it was Lashley who took the pin. Since then, Big E has defended his title against Lashley again in a cage match on the September 27th Raw, Drew McIntyre at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, and Dolph Ziggler at WWE Tribute for the Troops 2021, thus having wins against the last two WWE World Champions and also Dolph Ziggler. Roman Reigns won his WWE Universal title 450-ish days ago at WWE Payback 2020 against Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, both no longer with the company, and has most recently defeated both god-level characters The Demon Finn Bálor at WWE Extreme Rules 2021 and Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. Now they will face off to see that Roman Reigns is the better champion.
Fanboy Fantasy: Roman Reigns comes flanked with Paul Heyman and the Usos having already won their match while Big E is flanked by a taped-up Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Cesaro having also survived their match (and Woods having pinned E’s two current rivals as well as defeating Roman by DQ recently). Everyone on the outside keeps everyone else in check so E and Roman lock up. Roman appears cocky at first but Big E very quickly shows him not to be - E deadlifts Roman and tosses him to the outside into the Usos who break his fall and Heyman sells it as if man has lifted God. Roman, now pissed, slides back in and goes for a spear but E is able to dodge it as Roman hits the post. With a mistake made, E is quick to capitalize and hits several suplexes and goes for a pin but only gets a 1 count. They go for a few minutes as Roman recovers enough to hit a Superman punch but E is able to take it and roll to the outside where Woods an company give him water and provide a spit bucket as if this was Rocky. Roman slides to the outside and tries for a Drive-By but Cesaro is able to pull E out of the way and Roman hits air. This causes the Usos to run over to the New Day area and finally start a fight. As referees pile in to break it up, E and Roman rematerialize in the ring for some more chain-wrestling into a Big End from E for a pin - but there’s no referee! The crowd count 1, 2, 3… 4, 5! Roman kicks out of the unofficial pin before 6, but E had him for the five count! Big E rallies while Roman staggers up. Big E goes for a clothesline, Roman dodges, Roman goes for a spear, Big E dodges. While the referees are still dealing with everyone, Woods is able to smack Roman with his crown while bouncing off the ropes, distracting enough for Big E to hook for another Big End and he hits it! Big E goes for another pin, a referee slides in and counts 1, 2, 3! Roman kicks out clearly after the three (but not another 5-count) but the damage is already done. The New Day dance. Big E is pleased.
